The Script

We always walked a fine line, and tripped our way out of time.

Funny how things get misunderstood.

Though the words we spoke were true. They left us battered and bruised.

If I could take them back, I would.

Cause the sun don’t shine round here no more.

And the wind keeps howling outside my door.

If I had a way, I’d go back to that day.

And rewrite the script again.

I would take your hand in mine and whisper, “never mind”.

Then I’d lean in and kiss your cheek.

Your eyes, they’d smile wide. I’ll you close to my side.

Together we’d dance along the beach

The sun don’t shine round here no more.

And the wind keeps howling outside my door.

If I had a way, I’d go back to that day.

And rewrite the script again.

What can I do. I’ve been dreaming of you.

I’ve gone off track, there’s no turning back, the skies have turned black.

The sun don’t shine round here no more.

And the wind keeps howling outside my door.

If I had a way, I’d go back to that day.

And rewrite the script again.
